Bailey, the Great Explorer of the Underdesk

Bailey, the poor citizen in the province of West of the Brook in the realm of Hungaria, had been commissioned by the King and Queen to seek for precious vittles that would help stimulate Hungaria's economy and general well-being.

He set off alone, a brave pioneer in the dark, unknown land that he decided to dub, "Underdesk."

The journey was long, and was very tough. He spent weeks upon weeks in the region of Underdesk, seeking the truth behind the rumors of the little round food that would satisfy all. His back was always sore, his nose always filled with the dust of Underdesk's arid climate.

Alas, Bailey never did find what he was commissioned to find by his King and Queen.

His spirits were downcast, and his soul nearly broken in two. But today, he is still deemed the Great Explorer for his incomparable valiance.

Floral Flaunting

This time of the year, with cool breezes and warm sunshine, pansies flourish beautifully. When I look at them, I am always inspired to capture their beauty in a photograph.

I suppose Bailey feels a bit jealous that my camera attention isn't always on him anymore, so, without my realizing it, he sneaks into the frame while I'm taking photographs of the pansies.

So, in nearly all of the photographs I have of pansies, Bailey is in the background as well.

Good thing he complements the pansies so well!

Bailey's Sunbath

Christmas is over, and the New Year's Day has come and passed. Bailey, still feeling the lethargy in his bones from days and days of feasting, cannot seem fight his drooping eyelids under the harsh January sun.

As the sun's warmth sinks into his fur and under his skin, he feels his head drooping lower, and lower, and lower...

For him, there's nothing quite as nice as bathing in the sun.
